Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know

We've answered the most frequently asked questions about our cycling tours to help you plan your perfect European adventure.

What fitness level do I need for your cycling tours?
Our tours cater to various fitness levels, from leisurely rides suitable for recreational cyclists to challenging mountain routes for experienced riders. Each tour listing includes detailed difficulty ratings, daily distances, and elevation profiles. Most participants find that regular cycling of 20-30km per week provides adequate preparation for our Essential and Premium tours.
What type of bikes do you provide and can I bring my own?
We provide high-quality touring bikes, hybrid bikes, or road bikes depending on the route requirements. All bikes include helmets, repair kits, and water bottles. You're welcome to bring your own bike - we'll arrange secure transport and provide mechanical support. If bringing your own bike, please inform us during booking for proper preparation.
What happens if weather conditions are poor?
We monitor weather conditions closely and have contingency plans for each route. Light rain rarely stops our tours as we provide quality rain gear, but severe weather may require route modifications or alternative activities. Our experienced guides will always prioritise safety whilst ensuring you still have an excellent experience.
Are your tours suitable for solo travellers?
Absolutely! Many of our participants are solo travellers who join our small group tours to meet like-minded cycling enthusiasts. Our guides ensure everyone feels included and comfortable. Single room supplements are available for those preferring private accommodation, though many solo travellers enjoy the social aspect of shared arrangements.
What's included in the tour price and what should I budget for extras?
Tour prices include accommodation, specified meals, bike rental, guide services, support vehicle, and luggage transfers. Personal expenses like additional meals, drinks, souvenirs, and optional activities are not included. We recommend budgeting €30-50 per day for extras, depending on your preferences and the destination's cost of living.
